The Consorzio Taxisti Parma - CON.TA.P. - was founded in 1989 with the aim of making the cab driver's job more modern and innovative, aiming to offer a more functional service that would entice people to use cabs on a daily basis, which in those years were still, by mentality, the prerogative of the few.

"We will establish the Radiotaxi Central, giving birth to the Parma Taxi Consortium, those who want to join and be part of it will be welcome, the others can continue to work as they have done until now, they can always change their minds if we can show them that it works!" With these words from founding members Bazzoni AND Gualenzi, CON.TA.P. was born, the first Radiotaxi in Parma with the telephone number 0521.206029.

Seeing that the project had a sense and proven functionality, the city's taxi drivers joined in.

Over the years, the number of cab pas has increased from 45 to the current 75, and Radiotaxi Central has been working with satellite system for years now, just imagine the comments of the taxi drivers in operation during the founding years, at the hypothesis of getting to GPRS tracking!

Instead, with commitment, perseverance, the desire to improve and grow, the city that in the meantime expanded and saw the rise of realities such as the Verdi Airport, the Food Authority, the 'Trade Fair Authority that expanded the events organized and much more, have led to the current reality: a Radiotaxi Central that uses one of the most innovative methods on the market at the moment and a city that uses the cab in daily life, no longer considering it a public means of transportation for the few.
